Accommodations: Casita Mariposa is an attached yet completely private annex of the stunning Villa Mariposa. Enter through your own private door from the street into a post surf or yoga space complete with private outdoor shower and surf storage. Living area: Walk up the stairs and enter the casita into the main living area with dining table, plush chairs, TV and full kitchen with beautiful handmade tiles. Balcony: Enjoy a cup of coffee or a quiet moment alone out on the balcony either at the cafe table or in the cushioned moroccan niche. Bedroom: The Moroccan vibe continues with an arched alcove for the queen bed and hand made nightstands Bathroom More handmade tiles in the large walk in shower and kohler appliances provide a luxurious spa like experience. Other details to note: Coming to the jungle is both exciting and unique, but with it comes exciting and unique circumstances. The entire team at Villa Mariposa is dedicated to providing a living experience that prioritizes reducing our environmental impact. From the biodegradable products to grey water/ wastewater treatment, solar panels etc. we are doing our part to be responsible community members here in Nosara. Electricity and WIFI: *WIFI: We have done everything possible to minimize these issues with the internet at Villa Mariposa with triple redundant system with fiber optic cable and starlink. However storms do come and occasionally even this infrastructure can be unreliable. *Electricity: we have solar panels on the roof and batteries to store power for select household functions (internet and refrigerator and fans) for a few hours. Water: During the dry season dec-april the high demand for a limited water supply can sometimes affect water pressure. We have a reserve tank at Villa Mariposa to handle water outages and all efforts will be made to keep guests updated on upcoming outages etc. Bugs: Despite regular fumigation and ongoing maintenance, it’s normal to encounter various insects, particularly during the rainy season (May through November). To minimize their presence and ensure a comfortable stay, we recommend the following tips: *Store food securely: Always keep food wrapped and stored in the refrigerator. *Clean regularly: Wipe down kitchen counters and clean up any food crumbs. *Close screen doors: Ensure all screen doors are securely closed, especially at night when insects are most active. By following these simple steps, you can help reduce the impact of bugs on your vacation and enjoy a more pleasant stay. Security: Almost all tourist Oases lure some level of pety theft and Nosara is no different. While our goal is to ensure the safest experience for you with an alarm system and safety boxes in all bedrooms + kitchen, guests are responsible for securing and protecting their personal belongings and valuables in and around the Property, and for ensuring that all security features available are enabled every time they leave the Property. In addition we recommend guests never leave any valuables on the beach unattended. We currently enjoy the benefit of the presence of a nightly guard at Surf Simply next door. If greater security is desired the concierge services will gladly hire one for the evening for your stay Refunds: Please Note: **we do not offer refunds for construction noise, interruptions in basic services, security issues, natural disasters or early departure. Insurance: Guests are encouraged to purchase Traveler Insurance in case of unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or other issues that may prohibit Guests from traveling or fulfilling Rental terms.
